In Genesis 19, Lot is visited by two angels who come to warn him that God is going to destroy the evil cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. The men of the town see the angels and want to have sex with them. Lot, wanting to protect the angels' virtue (?), offers his virgin daughters to be raped; "Look, I have two daughters
who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you
can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for
they have come under the protection of my roof."
Lot was not reproached or shamed by God's messengers. He still had God's seal of approval.
Here are my questions for believers.
Is the OT God good?
Would the NT God approve of this act?
