It's a little ironic that many of the same people who cheered for this song, "Rich Men North of Richmond", have installed some of the wealthiest men in the world into the most powerful positions.
Some of the most vocal people who decried corruption in government have elected a convicted felon, adjudicated sex offender, whose first term in office was plagued by investigations, staff and advisors being charged and convicted of crimes, and two impeachments.
How can you bristle about rich men in Washington in one moment, then elect a man who was born rich, inherited hundreds of millions of dollars, and who poops on golden toilets in another moment?
Please explain.
Cheers,
Gavagai
